Visit to Bahrain

I am now currently in Bahrain. I have been here for several months and through various sources have found there is very little to do. There are some older forts and some decent museums, but frankly if I were to take a vacation it probably would not be to this small desert island. First off the prices of everything with the exception of food is extremely high. The weather is cold at the moment (February) and sand storms are frequent. After it all I believe any future vacations would be taken elsewhere.
